On Friday the 14th November 2025, in the City Hall of Gersthofen near Augsnbug, Germany, the 2025 European Championship Professional Latin took place. The sell-out gala event was organised by Nina Trautz and the Dance School Trautz-Salmen in the best tradition of past German events, and apart from the fabulous venue, live band and great audience, the attention to detail & hospitality shown by Nina and her event manager Michaela Reitmayer was nothing sort of outstanding.
The event was one of the biggest European Championships in terms of participation in recent years and it was a pleasure to see the best couples in the world compete for this European title.
The victory and title , for the 6th time, went to the current World Champions Dorin Frecautanu and Marina Sergeeva and they were given a special trophy, the 1970 European Championship trophy of the late Rudi Trautz in a very emotional prize giving.
All in all the event was of amazing quality and the battle between 2 & 3rd place kept the audience on the edge of their seats.
The runners up in the end were Kirill Belorukov & Valeria Aidaeva, 3rd Pavel Zvychanyy and Polina Teleshova, followed in 4,5 and 6th by Klemen Prasnikar & Aleskandra Averkieva, Ilya Kashikin & Magdalena Stzresnicka & Stas Olarescu & Marketa Vlckova.
