It is with great sadness that we advise of the passing of former SDTA Ballroom examiner Mrs Aileen Brown. She passed away on Tuesday night.
Aileen Brown enjoyed a hugely successful dance career with her husband and dance partner, Warren Brown. Highlights of her competitive career include winning the National Ballroom Queen contest in London. Warren and Aileen were the first couple to win both the Scottish Ballroom Championship and the Scottish Latin-American Championship. Aileen served the SDTA for decades as a Ballroom branch examiner and as a member of the Executive Council.
Aileen was an inspiration to many through her work as a dancer, teacher and examiner. Our thoughts are with Warren and the family at this time.
