Sergey Kolmykov Appointed WDC General Counsel

The World Dance Council announces the appointment of Sergey Kolmykov as its general counsel, effective July 1, 2023. Sergey will serve as the principal legal officer for the Council, with overall responsibility for the leadership of the WDC’s legal function. Reporting to the President, he will provide legal counsel to the full WDC leadership team, the Board of Directors, and other members of the WDC on a broad and diverse range of matters. 

For 9 years running, Sergey has been recognized by the Super Lawyers magazine as the top attorney in the country for his outstanding achievements in the intellectual property litigation and licensing. Mr. Kolmykov has also been named to the IAM Strategy 300 List, recognizing top 300 IP strategists in the world.  Sergey is a partner at a premier New York law firm of Kroub Silbersher & Kolmykov PLLC. Prior to this role, he spent over two decades practicing law at some of the elite firms in the world, including Locke Lord LLP, Winston & Strawn LLP and Proskauer Rose LLP.
